LCF Hunger Relief Grant Program

Fellow Lions:

The Lions Charity Foundation of Southeastern Virginia is pleased to announce a $25,000 Hunger Relief Grant Program approved at our October 2022 quarterly board meeting. These funds will be immediately available to all District 24-I Lions Clubs. Through a simple hunger grant application process each club can apply for a $500 grant. Our foundation’s goal is to support your club’s Lions Bag Hunger project, ongoing support of food pantry partnerships, or food drives during LCI’s Hunger Awareness Month in January 2023.

How the Grant Program works:

Your club can apply for one $500 grant to support a local food pantry in your community.
You must provide the food pantry’s non-profit tax I.D. Number indicating their 501c3 status.
The $500 grant can be split between no more than two organizations – if your club serves more than one food pantry.
The hunger grant application process is open now and closes January 31, 2023.
The hunger grant applications will be processed in the order in which they are received by the grants committee chair until the $25,000 is depleted or the deadline expires. So, please send in your simple, one-page application quickly.
Your club must be in good standing with Lions Clubs International.
Please be sure to report your donation in MyLion.
The hunger grant application can be found by clicking the link below.
